Spring has officially sprung! It’s time to ditch the winter decor and replace those snowflakes with flowers! Decorate your office desk or dining room table with this fun and easy DIY spring centerpiece with vellum daisy flowers. Feel free to make different variations using different sized pots or themed vellum cut outs! You could turn this spring centerpiece into one for fall by using maple leaf cut outs instead of daisies and use it to decorate your mantle!
DIY Spring Centerpiece Supplies:
- Darice Cardstock in Pink, Blue, Shimmery Gold, Shimmery White.
- Darice Large Brads for Flower Centers.
- Darice Paper Straws.
- Darice Metal Tub.
- Darice Floral Foam.
- Darice Green Paper Shred.
- Darice Scissors.
- Electronic Die Cutting Machine or Flower Punch.
Step 1. Cut four flowers out of each color of vellum.
Step 2. Put two of the matching flowers together, off setting the petals.
Step 3. Put large brad through center and fold back the prongs. Use a flat surface and a solid object to push them down so they are tight.
Step 4. Make sure the brad is centered on the flower front.
Step 5. Slide the paper straw onto one of the prongs on the back of the flower.
Step 6. Adjust the flower petals if needed.
Step 7. Place the floral foam in the bottom of the tin pot.
Step 8. Start placing paper straws, with flowers on them, into the floral foam. Trim straws as needed to make the flowers different heights.
Step 9. Make sure you can see all the flowers. Adjust if needed.
Step 10. Add shredded paper to cover the floral foam.
