Lantern Challenge: Snowman Craft Lantern

12.11.14 By Melanie Leave a Comment

In my  household nothing says winter more than a snowman.  My girls love everything snow and snowman related.  I think we must watch Frosty the Snowman at least a dozen times throughout the winter.  They love snowmen that much.  After living in Southern California for so many years, our first snowfall in the Pacific Northwest  was absolutely magical.  We woke up early in the morning and we didn’t just make one snowman that morning, we made a snowman, a snow lady, and a snow dog!  So, for this lantern challenge I wanted to make a snowman craft that would last a just a little bit longer for my girls.

Snowman-craft-lantern-DariceSnowman Craft Lantern Supplies:

  • Darice Stainless Steel and Glass Candle Holder Lantern
  • White Spray Paint
  • Black Vinyl
  • Orange Vinyl
  • Snowman Cutout Templates:
    • Eyes & Mouth
    • Carrot Nose

Step 1:  Take the hardware off and apply two coats of spray paint onto the globe.  Let it dry.

Step 3:  Carefully remove the vinyl pieces off of the backing and place the pieces onto the globe.  I just eyeballed this.

Enjoy!
