I absolutely love Valentine’s Day and all the adorable pink hearts everywhere! Unfortunately, I’m still in post-holiday recovery mode so my V-Day decorations have to be quick and easy to make or else they just don’t happen. I love this sign because it requires little effort for a relatively large Valentine’s Day art piece and because it can be easily customized to fit almost any space!
- Darice 12″ Paper Mache Letters (I & U)
- Darice 12″ Paper Mache Heart Box
- White Acrylic Paint
- Glue Gun and Sticks
- Darice Assorted Pink Pom Poms
Step One. This Valentine’s Day art tutorial is so crazy easy that there’s basically only a few steps! For the first one, all you have to do is paint the paper mache letters and heart white. This tutorial can be even easier if you like the brown color of the paper mache (which would match perfectly with some red pom poms!)
Step Two. Arrange the letters in your desired layout (vertical or horizontal) and glue in place. Allow glue to harden completely before moving on to the next letter. I added even more glue to the back to further secure the piece.
Step Three. Working small sections at a time, squeeze out hot glue to the base of the heart and press a few pom poms in place. Continue until entire heart is filled. It took me a couple layers of pom poms and glue to get the full coverage I desired.
