Want to add some spook to your door this Halloween? Try this spiderweb wreath DIY Halloween idea! This quick and easy project is the perfect way to greet those trick or treaters. The best part is that the wreath actually lights up with battery powered lights. This makes it absolutely perfect for Halloween night!
Spiderweb Wreath DIY Halloween Idea Project Supplies:
- Darice Decorative Wood Spider Web
- Martha Stewart Crafts Illuminated Spider Decorations
- White Paint
- Paint Brush
- Darice Hot Glue and Glue Gun
Start by painting your spider web with white paint. Set aside to dry and then assemble your spiders. The package with the spiders inside actually contains everything you need to light them up as well as place them on your wreath.
Start by removing the tag from the battery pack and testing your lights. Then add the black box on the back of your spider and tuck your battery pack inside. There are adhesive strips in the package for attaching the cardboard box to the back of the spider.
Then wrap the lights around and around on the back of the spider securing into place with the adhesive strips that are included in the package.
Finally, once your web is dry, you want to add the spider to the outer surface. I found that the adhesive included with the spiders did not work well on the wood web. So I used a bit of hot glue on the black box and secured it to the spider web that way.
Then you can hang your DIY spiderweb wreath on your front door.
Turn on and off the lights using the battery pack. You will want to be sure to have them on when the trick or treaters come knocking on your door.
I told you this DIY Halloween idea was super simple to make! I love a quick and easy project that looks so great when finished.
