I absolutely adore making Halloween crafts and home decor around this time of year. From skeletons to eyeballs, cauldrons to spiders…I love it all! Since my kids are still pretty little, we don’t go too overboard with gory decorations so I thought it would be fun to make these spider web DIY Halloween candle holders. They’re easy to make and with the wide variety of die cuts from Darice and can be customized to fit any existing decor or style. I love the idea of filling these candle holders with cut out snowflakes for winter or hearts for Valentine’s Day. With so many die cuts to choose from, the options are endless!
- Darice Spider Web Craft Die
- Darice Decorative Square Candle Holders
- Die Cut Machine
- Acrylic Paint (Orange, Purple, Green)
- Core’dinations Black Cardstock
- Darice Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
- Darice LED Tea Lights (Optional)
Step 1. Begin by giving the natural wood candle holders a nice coat of paint! I went with orange, purple, and green because those colors always remind me of Halloween but, of course, you can totally do any color scheme you’d like. All black candle holders with white spider webs would look awesome too!
Aren’t these spider web DIY Halloween candle holders so much fun? You can either use the boxes as just decoration or add battery-operated LED tea lights for some spooky mood lighting. I absolutely love the bright colors with the modern feel of the spider webs! These wood candle holder boxes are so much fun, can’t wait to customize them for Christmas and many more holidays. Hope you enjoy making a set of your own!
