Hi Darice friends! It’s Lydia from Lydi Out Loud and I’m so excited to decorate for fall! Fall is my favorite season not only for the beautiful weather, but for the beautiful color palette of the changing leaves that I love to incorporate into my fall decor. When I saw this Darice hanging grapevine basket I knew that it had to live on my door for the fall season. Natural, rustic materials make a beautiful backdrop for a fall color palette. This basket was absolutely perfect for the gorgeous rust and brick toned Chrysanthemum stems I had picked out for my fall wreath. Best of all, this fall door decoration only takes 15 minutes to make! Can’t beat that, right?!

Grapevine Fall Door Decoration Supplies:
- Darice Hanging Grapevine Basket
- Darice Chrysanthemum Stems
- Floral Foam
- Darice Floral Wire Cutters
- Darice Spanish Moss
- Command Hook
- Darice Burlap Ribbon
To begin, cut floral foam to fit snugly into the base of the grapevine basket. Cut off individual flower stems from the large floral stem with wire cutters.
Arrange flower stems in varying heights by inserting them into the floral foam in varying depths and angles. I added a few dried floral stems to add some more color and dimension.
Pull apart the Spanish moss into small pieces and stuff into the grapevine basket from the top and through the holes on the sides to hide the floral foam and give a finished look.
Attach a command hook to the back of your door upside down. Cut a long piece of burlap ribbon to act as a wreath holder. Weave it through the hole at the top of the grapevine basket and drape it over the door. Tie the ends of the burlap into a knot around the command hook inside of the door to hang the wreath.
I love this unconventional take on a fall wreath, what do you think? Thanks for reading and happy fall decorating!
