Looking for an adorable craft you can make to greet guests at your front door? This DIY scarecrow decoration is the perfect project for you then! It’s a basic craft that can be made super simple with just a few supplies or if you’d like, more complicated with numerous accessories. You could always add a bow to the front of the hat or even a fabric patch glued in place. How cute would this black tin crow look on the edge of the hat? So many adorable options!
- Darice Large Unfinished Wood Tag
- Darice Large Wood Craft Sticks
- Brown Paint
- Darice Scarecrow Decal Face
- Darice Orange Berry Spray
- Rustic Ribbon
- Darice Natural Raffia
- Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
Step 3. Cut three small branches of the orange berry spray off and glue in place with hot glue gun. Apply a generous amount of glue along the raffia/brown paint border and press the craft stick in place until secure (this should completely cover the edge of the “hairline”).
Step 4. Remove protective backing from the scarecrow face decal and apply to the lower section of the wood tag. Just a hint, I had to apply a fair amount of pressure to the back of the decal before it was released onto the wood.
If you’re front porch is decorated more on the elegant side, you might prefer this metallic leaf DIY fall door decoration!
