There is absolutely nothing that screams “Autumn” quite like acorns! I love buying craft-ready acorns from Darice because you don’t have to worry about any little critters sneaking a ride into your house. I’ve made wreaths with these natural small acorns from Darice but I found these awesome bead acorns that I thought would be perfect for a some DIY fall wall decor. I absolutely love how the mini LED lights shine through the translucent bead section of the acorn and create a beautiful soft glow!

Step 1. This DIY fall wall decor tutorial is crazy easy to make and I’ll let you in on one little hint I figured out while making my own! Instead of just wrapping the fairy lights around the acorns inside of the jar, I found it much neater to insert each light into one of the acorn bead ends. That way the light really makes the acorn glow from the inside out!
Step 3. To assemble the DIY fall wall decor, insert a few of the lighted acorns into the jar and then add additional acorns on top of those. Repeat staggering the lights and acorns until the entire jar is filled.
Step 5. Your fall acorn wall sconce is completed! You can add an optional bow around the neck of the glass if you want a more stylized piece. I chose to leave it more minimal without a ribbon but the choice is up to you!
I absolutely love how simple but elegant this DIY fall wall decor looks hanging next to my existing autumn decor. One of the best things about this project is that it’s easy to disassemble and reuse all the parts for another craft. Hope you enjoy making one!
