From the warm colors to the delicious flavors, I absolutely love everything about autumn! One of my favorite traditions for this time of year is to make a new wreath that celebrates these gorgeous colors while greeting guests at our front door. This year, since we have a newborn and minimal extra craft time, I decided to go with a simple but beautiful DIY fall grapevine wreath. Hope you enjoy this welcome fall wreath as much as I enjoyed making it!
DIY Fall Grapevine Wreath Supplies:
- 18″ Darice Grapevine Wreath
- Darice Brown Cloth Covered Wire or Floral Wire
- Fall Pip Berry Garland (Use this Red Pip Berry Garland for a Christmas version!)
- Darice Burlap Ribbon
- Darice Welcome Wood Sign
- Gold & Brown Paint
- Darice Wood Pennant Banner
- Darice Glue Gun
Step 1. Begin attaching the berry garland to the wreath with small pieces of floral wire. You can use either the standard green floral wire (like in the image below) or if you don’t want it to be quite as noticeable, brown floral wire. I used two packages of garland to achieve the fullness I was looking for.
Step 2. Paint the unfinished wood “Welcome” sign with gold paint.
Step 3. Dilute the brown paint and apply as stain to the pennant flags. Add “Fall” gold letters when the stain is dry.
Step 4. Tie a basic bow with burlap ribbon to the side of the wreath.
Step 5. Apply hot glue to the back of the Welcome sign and hold in place on wreath until secure. String pennant flags onto the included twine and tie to the edges of the wreath.
Step 6. Hang your DIY fall grapevine wreath on your front door and enjoy all season long!
I love how this welcome fall wreath has all the gorgeous colors of the season! Don’t you just love that garland? Darice has tons of other great Pip Berry Garland options so that you can customize this tutorial and make a beautiful wreath for almost any holiday!
Hope you enjoy making this DIY fall grapevine wreath and have a great autumn season!
