Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, and I love creating festive home decor to get my house ready for the holidays. By dressing up a lantern with some basic supplies, many that you probably already own, you can create a gorgeous Christmas lantern decoration that is very versatile and easy to change each season. Plus, it just takes a few minutes to create which is an added bonus for this busy time of year!
Festive Christmas Lantern Decoration Supplies:
- Darice Metal Lantern.
- Pillar Candle.
- Darice Pinecones.
- Darice Berry Garland.
- Scissors.
- Darice Mini Pine Garland.
- Darice Jingle Bells.
- String.
- Epsom Salt.
- Ribbon.
Step one. Place candle inside the lantern. Using a spoon, sprinkle epsom salt all around the candle to mimic the look of snow.
Step two. Scatter a few small pinecones around the candle.
Cut a few sprigs of berries with a pair of scissors. Place around the candle.
Cut a few sprigs of the mini pine garland and also add them around the candle base.
Step three. Cut a piece of silver ribbon and wrap it through handle hole. Tie a large, pretty bow.
Step four. Cut a small piece of string and string two silver bells onto the string. Tie a knot in the string tightly around the two bells. Wrap the string with the bells around the middle of the silver bow, tie a knot and trim the excess string from the back.
I told you it was easy! After just a few simple steps, you now have a gorgeous DIY Christmas lantern decoration that you can switch up throughout the year.
