Looking for a fun craft that kids are sure to love? Try these DIY yarn monsters, they’re sure to be a hit! They’re fuzzy and soft and not creepy at all! And the best part is, you can get as creative as you like. Make one horn or two, add a mouth or three eyes, maybe some ears or some crazy rainbow hair! So give it a try, don’t be scared, have a little crafty fun and watch your yarn monsters come to life!
- Darice Brand Yarn (We decided we liked the Folklore yarn because it made thicker, fuller monsters.)
- Darice Chenille Stems
- Cardboard Piece (like a cereal box)
- Darice Googly Eyes
- Glue Dots
- Darice Scissors
Using glue dots or a dab of hot glue, add on eyes.
Want to give your yarn monsters little mouths? Simply tie a double knot of red yarn around several strands of yarn on your monsters face and trim close. You can do the same for hair – just cut the length a bit longer.
