Deck the walls with sweet, personalized snow people families! These cute DIY snowman decorations are simple to make and easy to customize. You can embellish them in lots of different ways. Here are two cute ideas for you to try.
DIY snowman decorations supplies:
- Mini Birch Disks
- Darice Small Wood Sign with Wire Hanger
- Permanent Markers in Black and Orange
- Wood Glue
- Darice Hat with Scarf Set
- White and Sky Blue Paint
- Fabric Strips
- Darice Driftwood
- Alphabet Stencil
- White Paint Marker
Select cuts of wood from the bag to make the snowmen. You’ll need two pieces per family member.
Glue the pieces together using wood glue with a dot of hot glue to hold it together as it dries.
Use the black permanent marker to draw in the eyes, mouth, and buttons. Use the orange marker to draw the triangle nose.
Cut thin strips of fabric to make the scarves. Tie them around the “necks” of the snowmen.
Paint the small wood sign. First paint the bottom section with snow white paint. Don’t forget to paint the sides, too! Then paint the top with sky blue paint. Let this dry.
Use a stencil and a white paint marker (or chalk marker) to add the family name to the wood pieces. I used adhesive stencils to get the cleanest lettering possible.
Glue the snow people onto the signs. For the driftwood sign, glue the figures on top of the wood stick. Again, use wood glue with a dot of hot glue. The hot glue will keep the pieces from slipping off while the wood glue dries. With the hanging sign, glue the figures right onto the wood.
Embellish the signs with trees and the hat & scarf miniatures. Tie a piece of twine around the ends of the driftwood stick to make a hanger.
