Making DIY pallet pumpkins is a great way to add a rustic touch to your fall decor. Did you know that there is a way to make them in just minutes? With our pallet canvases, you too can add some adorable additions to your mantel easily. Make one or a bunch and display them indoors or out. However you use them, you are sure to love these DIY pallet pumpkins.
DIY Pallet Pumpkins Project Supplies:
- Darice Pallet Wood Boxes
- Orange Darice Acrylic Paint (in a variety of shades)
- Floral Darice Leaves
- Darice Raffia
- Driftwood
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
- Wood Glue
- Scissors
I wanted to make two different sizes of DIY pallet pumpkins so I started by using wood glue to secure two of the pallet boxes together. Allow that to dry completely, then you can continue with painting your pumpkins. I used three different shades of orange and very little paint for a rustic look. You can add more paint for a more finished look if desired.
Allow those to dry completely before continuing. Then use hot glue to secure a piece of drift wood to the top of each for a stem. Add on a paper leaf with some additional hot glue and tie on some raffia for decoration. Trim away any excess raffia with scissors and your DIY pallet pumpkins are complete.
You can then add these cuties to any room of your home! Want to add some fall decor outdoors? Just be sure to use outdoor paint instead and coat all exposed wood. Then you can put these on your porch or out in front of your home.
Make some pallet wood pumpkins in just minutes with this simple technique. Here we did a single as well as a double stacked. Want to go big? Put four together in a square! You can really let your imagination run wild with this quick and easy DIY project.
