I know everyone has hearts and love on their minds right now. Of course, with V-Day being right around the corner this is totally normal. However, as soon as all those heart candies have been eaten and all the flowers have wilted it will be time to get ready for the next fun holiday, “St. Patrick’s Day”. I really like St. Patrick’s Day, it might be because one of my kiddos adores the color green and gets very excited to see everyone dressed in green. Making an extra fun St. Patrick’s Day treats for my kid’s teachers or the entire class is a great way to get everyone excited.
Rainbow Candy St. Patrick’s Day Treats Supplies:
- Darice Clear Treat Bags
- Darice Gold Twist Ties
- Darice Aluminum Coin Charms
- Darice Pot O’ Gold Foamies
- Paper Tags
- Rainbow Colored Candies
To begin these St. Patrick’s Day treats, sort your candies into separate piles according to color. This takes the most time, if you can keep your kiddos from eating the candy, this is a really good task for little hands.
Layer your candies by color into the treat bags. *TIP* A thick layer of candy will stay separated better than thin layers. So, don’t skimp on the candy.
After your candy is in the bag thread a gold coin onto a gold twist tie, then your paper tag.
When making your tag, you can use pre-made tags or make your own with a paper punch. Use colored pencils or markers to write your message. “You are the GOLD at the end of the RAINBOW“.
The hand written tag looks great, can can even get your kids to help write them.
They are so fun! You can make these St. Patrick’s Day treats different sizes if you are making them for kids or adults.
