Happy spring, creative friends! I have something bright and inspiring for you today! I love my Darice paint brushes that I picked up a few weeks ago, and I thought it would be fun to show you a cool way to personalize your own set. Just use some simple neon craft paint to give DIY paint brushes some fun wow-factor in your craft room. Now they are functional brushes, and trendy decor!
Rainbow DIY Paint Brushes Project Supplies:
- Darice Brush Set
- DecoArt Neon Craft Paint in Electric Blue, Thermal Green, Fiery Red, Torrid Orange and Scorch Yellow
- Americana Craft Paint in Cool White
- Darice Decorative Cement Planter (To display your brushes in)
To paint your DIY paint brushes, it helps to have a nice bright white base coat first. The neon will show up better if you base coat it in white, or a like color. I used Americana paint since it has a nice flat white finish, and has great adhesion on wood surfaces.
Whew! So BRIGHT! I just love how they turned out. My DIY paint brushes are on display in my craft room and I have already used them a few times for projects. Be sure to use Darice Brush Cleaner to keep them nice and new looking! Happy painting!
You can also spruce up your craft room with a tiered DIY organizer.
