Hey guys! It’s Abbey here, back for another fun project. Dare I say it, but summer is almost over…if you’re like me though, you love fall just as much!! I wanted to get a head start on fall and create this simple embroidery hoop pumpkin DIY fall wreath! Follow along to see how simple and fun it is to create.
Pumpkin DIY Fall Wreath Supplies:
- Darice 3 inch Embroidery Hoops
- Darice 14 inch Embroidery Hoop
- Darice Orange & Green Felt
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- Marker
Step 1. Start by tracing the outer layer of the small embroidery hoops onto orange felt and cutting them out. I needed 8 circles for my project.
Step 2. After your circles are cut out, assemble your embroidery hoop pumpkins. Loosen up the knob at the top, pull the center of the hoop out, and place it onto the felt. Then layer the inner circle of the hoop into the outer circle pressing down until both layers are even. Finally tighten your hoop back up at the top to lock the felt in place securely. Do this 8 times for your hoops.
Step 3. Next up, hot glue your mini hoops onto your larger hoop. I just dabbed hot glue onto the mini hoop and spaced them evenly apart.
Step 4: Top off the mini hoops with green “pumpkin stems” and “leaves” cut out by hand. Attach with hot glue.
Step 5. Finally, I made a simple green bow out of the felt and hot glued it on. Add a string or ribbon to the back for hanging.
Your new DIY fall wreath is done! A simple fall decoration that takes very little time and money to make!
Hope you enjoyed this DIY fall wreath idea. Have a great last few weeks of summer!
