We’re excited to share an opportunity Darice had to sponsor one of the craft projects on the 10th Anniversary Crafty Chica Cruise. If you’ve never heard of this cruise, you are missing out! Kathy Cano-Murillo is the woman behind the Crafty Chica website, blog and cruise experience. She has been planning and orchestrating this cruise getaway for craft lovers since 2006. This year for the 10th anniversary cruise, Crafty Chica took 50 guests on a 7 night/8 day, Mexican cruise. Amidst exploring Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, cruisers got to shop, eat, drink, dance, relax and most importantly CRAFT!
Included in the cruise were 6 Mexi-style art workshops with all the crafting supplies and product provided by Crafty Chica and sponsors. Darice provided the supplies for participants to make their own custom embroidered aprons. Cruisers could complete and wear their aprons while participating in the other craft workshops throughout the cruise week.
Read on to find the supplies you’d need to make your own custom embroidered aprons and to see photos of the project from the Crafty Chica Cruise.
Embroidered Apron Supplies:
- Darice White Cotton Apron
- Darice 8 Inch Wooden Embroidery Hoop
- Dritz Embroidery Needles
- Darice Cotton Craft Embroidery Thread
Cruisers could use iron on patterns or they could free hand the designs with a pen onto their aprons.
Guests spent the rest of the workshop and cruise working on embroidering their designs. They all turned out so great!
When thinking of designs for your apron, consider embroidering a monogram or logo. Or you can theme the design after the occasion the apron will be used for; cooking, art, crafting, or even a bridal shower gift.
