If you’re looking for cute DIY gifts for girls, you will absolutely love these inspirational beauty quote mirrors. How often do we tell ourselves that we are beautiful? Even more important – how often do our children tell themselves that they are beautiful? I have two young nieces who love to play dress-up. They are beautiful. I’m an auntie who lives far away, so I can’t tell them all the time how beautiful they are. So I decided to put it on a mirror.
Even better – I decided to find a quote I loved about beauty – and put it on a mirror.
Even better – I didn’t stop with one mirror.
You can make one mirror – or a dozen – the process and supplies are the same.
DIY Gifts for Girls – Beauty Quote Mirror Supplies:
I love that these wooden hand mirrors come in several shapes.
Start by painting a base layer.
Once the paint is dry, use paint pens to add your favorite beauty quote.
You can add some decorative painting if you like. I also wrote who the quote was from on the back of each mirror.
Once the paint was dry, I cleaned the mirror to scrape away any paint and dust.
You don’t have to use quotes, there are lots of ways you can decorate these simple mirrors to turn them into awesome DIY gifts for girls. These wooden hand mirrors look great with a little bling. I painted the mirror with a base coat of white, then glued the crystals down.
Use a glue that doesn’t dry too quickly, so you can nudge the crystals into place as you add them.
You can bling the back as well. I just used glitter paint.
Each mirror has a little bit of personality…
These mirrors would make great DIY gifts for girls or party favors – or even a great craft project for kids to do at a party. They are so fun and so simple to make.
