Are you looking for a simple craft for your little ones to create for Father’s Day? What about a collage frame? With a simple frame and small pieces of paper, kids can create a beautiful keepsake for their dad on this special day.
- 4×6 Wood Frame
- Dena Designs Kumari 6 x 6 inch Paper Pad or Patterned Paper of your choosing
- White Quick Stick Felt Letters
- Mod Podge
- Foam Paint Brush
Step one: Begin by tearing the patterned paper into small pieces. I love these new papers from Embellish by Dena! The lovely patterns in neutral colors are simply perfect for this project.
Step two: Using a foam brush, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the wood frame. Place your paper pieces to create the collage. Then add another layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper to seal. Thin layers of the adhesive work best and cause less bubbles. These wood frames are the perfect size for little hands and with the use of a foam brush, your children will have this collage frame finished in no time.Step three: Finally, add your sentiment to the collage frame with felt letters. Here I cut out a heart from the scraps and spelled Dad. This step may require a bit of help from an adult or older sibling.
