We recently got new (and much needed!) furniture for our living room and since my kids are getting a little bit bigger I feel like I’m ready to start adding some simple elements to our home decor. I’ve always loved the idea of a nice centerpiece on the coffee table but was afraid to put anything out that might not be safe for my kids. Oh, and that they wouldn’t destroy on me! Ha! I found an amazing basket at a local craft store and knew it would be perfect to display these easy DIY fabric covered foam balls in as coffee table decor.
Coffee Table Decor Fabric Foam Ball Supplies:
Step Two. Tear your fabric into strips. You’ll want to keep the edges frayed. Depending on how many balls you are covering will dictate how many strips of fabric you will need. (Tip: The longer the strip of fabric the better.)
Step Three. Take your first strip of fabric and hot glue it to the top of a foam ball. Wrap the fabric around the ball and glue the end wherever it winds up. Glue your second strip of fabric right where your last one left off and continue this process until the entire ball is covered. You will notice that some pieces of fabric will overlap each other and that’s fine.
